Hot Tub Removal in Charlotte: Full Teardown Included
Hot tubs in Charlotte backyards are one of the heavier removal jobs we do. A standard acrylic 6-person hot tub runs 500–800 lbs drained; the older fiberglass and wood-framed models can hit 900 lbs. Nothing about this job is a one-person operation.
Before we arrive, the hot tub needs to be drained and the electrical disconnected at the panel. We don’t do electrical disconnection. That’s your electrician or your panel breaker if you’re comfortable with it. Once it’s drained and disconnected, everything else is on us: teardown into removable sections, path to the truck (through a gate, around the house, or through the yard), and loading.
Access matters on hot tub jobs. If the unit is in a fenced backyard, tell us the gate width when you call. Standard fence gates run 36–48 inches wide. Most hot tubs need to be cut into sections before they fit through a gate. That’s normal, not a problem. If you have a wider gate or deck access, the job goes faster.
Deck structures around the hot tub are a separate conversation. If there’s framing or decking that needs to come out first, we can quote that as part of the same visit or as a separate job. After the tub is cleared, if there’s any remaining construction debris or furniture to haul from the same property, that goes on the same load.
