A lot of Raleigh mattress work isn’t one bed. Those cost far less per piece than booking them one at a time, so clear them in a single visit where you can.

A mattress is essentially steel springs, foam, fiber, and wood. All are recoverable, and all are terrible landfill material because it won’t compact. We route mattresses to recycling wherever a processor is available in the market. Soiled and bedbug-affected mattresses are the exception; those go to disposal for handling reasons.

Bedrooms are upstairs, which makes this a stairs job nearly every time. Five Points and the older Inside-the-Beltline homes near Oakwood have narrow stairwells with tight landings where a box spring has to travel on edge. Glenwood South, Midtown, and North Hills buildings depend on elevator access and posted move-in hours, so pass along the building rules when you book. North Raleigh, Brier Creek, and Wakefield are mostly two-story homes with wide stairs and driveway access. Cary, Apex, Garner, Wake Forest, and Knightdale run on the same routes.
